There was some doubt, but Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson has been selected to play in the 2019 NBA All-Star Game.
Thompson was named as a reserve during an announcement Thursday on TNT.
It will be Thompson's fifth straight All-Star Game appearance.

After getting off to a slow start to the season, there was a chance Thompson wouldn't join teammates Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant in Charlotte. But Thompson made a late push with a scorching-hot January.
Entering Thursday's game against the 76ers, Thompson is shooting 53.5 percent from the field and 47.5 percent from 3-point range in 12 games this month.
These players will join Thompson as reserves from the Western Conference: Thunder guard Russell Westbrook, Nuggets center Nikola Jokic, Pelicans (for now) center Anthony Davis, Blazers guard Damian Lillard, Spurs forward LaMarcus Aldridge and T'Wolves center Karl-Anthony Towns.
Draymond Green, who has been an All-Star the last three years, was not selected this year.

Curry, Durant, LeBron James, Paul George and James Harden were the Western Conference players named as starters.
LeBron and Giannis Antetokounmpo, who led Eastern Conference players in votes, will select their teams during the NBA All-Star Game draft on Feb. 7.
The 2019 NBA All-Star Game will take place on Sunday, Feb. 17.
