The NBA draft lottery results are in and the Warriors ended up with two picks.

Golden State possesses the rights to the No. 7 and No. 14 overall selections in the 2021 draft.

There was a 97.6 percent chance the Warriors would get the 14th pick, which is their own.

The seventh pick comes via the Minnesota Timberwolves, and there was a 29.77 percent chance it would land in that spot.

The Warriors were hoping to come away with No. 4 or No. 6, but it could have been worse. Just ask the last two teams who finished with the sixth-worst record in the NBA.

The Washington Wizards in 2019 ended up with the No. 9 pick, and the New York Knicks in 2020 slipped to No. 8.

If the Warriors keep the asset, they hope to continue their run of success with the seventh pick, having selected Steph Curry in 2009 and Harrison Barnes in 2012.

The 2021 NBA Draft is slated for July 29.
