Alabama vs. Clemson: DeMarcus Cousins appears to lose bet to Steph Curry

Alabama fans who traveled to Levi's Stadium on Monday weren't the only ones in the Bay Area who were upset about Clemson's blowout win.

Warriors center DeMarcus Cousins, a Mobile, Ala. native himself, had reason to be, too. After the Tigers shellacked the Crimson Tide 44-16 in the national championship, Cousins revealed on his Instagram story that he lost a bet.

The beneficiary? Temmate Stephen Curry.

There's no word on how much money Curry and Cousins had on the line -- or even what they were betting on -- but we assume it was on the game. As bad as it was to lose a bet, it probably didn't help Cousins that he watched it unfold in person.

Cousins yelled "Roll Tide!" in a pregame Instagram story, but he wasn't quite as jubilant during the game.

Cousins should have reason to cheer up soon. The big man is nearing his debut in the Warriors lineup as his rehab from Achilles tendon surgery moves towards completion.
