If the Warriors extend their NBA playoff run, they could add Andre Iguodala back into the mix.
Golden State released the latest injury update on the 38-year-old forward, noting that Iguodala, who is recovering from a fractured left wrist and was cleared for light drills two weeks ago, has intensified his on-court workouts and should practice with the team this coming week.
Shortly after the Warriors put out the update on Iguodala, coach Steve Kerr spoke to reporters at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles and was asked what the next few weeks look like for the forward.
"He's been on the court the last few days and, you know, he hasn't done any full contact work but he's getting a lot of ball handling and defensive slides and that sort of thing," Kerr said. "So, he's getting more and more work in each day and he's getting closer to possibly being able to play."
The Warriors will remain in Los Angeles through Monday night when they will play Game 4 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Lakers. Game 5 is scheduled for Wednesday night at Chase Center, and if necessary, Game 6 is back in LA on Friday night, with a possible winner-take-all Game 7 on Sunday, May 14 in San Francisco.
If the Warriors can advance past the Lakers, the Western Conference final series could span May 14 or May 16 through May 28.

Generally, the Warriors prefer that rehabbing players participate in practices and scrimmages before they are cleared for game action, so presumably, Iguodala wouldn't be able to return until the end of the Lakers series or a possible Western Conference finals.
As Iguodala managed injuries and ramped up into game-shape, he didn't make his 2022 NBA season debut until Jan. 7. But a hip injury limited him to just three games during that stretch. He returned in March, only to have the wrist injury knock him out again. He underwent surgery for the fracture on March 21 and has been rehabbing ever since.
In his eight games of action during the regular season, Iguodala averaged 2.1 points, 2.1 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 14.1 minutes.

While Kerr has shortened the playoff rotation, Iguodala's impact on the team is undeniable and he immediately would be penciled in for 10-15 minutes of action once he's cleared to play.
If the Warriors manage to extend their season, Iguodala will get a chance to finish his NBA career on the court rather than on the bench coaching up his younger teammates.
