Andre Iguodala ruled out, leaves Warriors short on wings against Kings

SACRAMENTO – Warriors forward Andre Iguodala was downgraded from questionable to unavailable 90 minutes before tipoff Friday night against the Kings.

This is the third consecutive game the 13-year veteran will miss because of soreness in his left hip. He has missed five of the team’s 30 games this season.

Iguodala “hopefully” will be able to play on Monday, when the Warriors play host to Memphis, coach Steve Kerr said.

Iguodala joins fellow wing Shaun Livingston (right pelvic contusion) on the sideline, creating a severe shortage of wings against an uptempo Sacramento team. That almost certainly means more minutes for versatile forward Alfonzo McKinnie, with two-way guard-forward Damion Lee also likely to see action.

Furthemore, the loss of two reserves that can run the offense also leaves open the possibility of playing time for point guard Quinn Cook.
