Andre Iguodala will do ‘whatever it takes to protect' Steph Curry's legacy

Andre Iguodala has Stephen Curry's back.

He's called the two-time MVP the second-best point guard in NBA history, behind only Magic Johnson. And on Sunday night, Iguodala had it again, ensuring Curry and the Warriors would even the NBA Finals at one game apiece after his clutch 3-pointer in the final seconds sealed a Game 2 victory over the Raptors.

The Warriors were in a position to win that game despite Curry not even attempting a shot in the fourth quarter, speaking to his all-around impact, which extends further than the scoring column.

Shortly after the victory, Iguodala referenced that impact, and his desire to ensure Curry is given the respect he's earned and rightfully deserves.

Curry most certainly is headed to the Basketball Hall of Fame when his career comes to an end. Still, given how consistently he is overlooked among the top players in the game, it can't hurt to have Iguodala issuing constant reminders of his greatness.

Of course, if Iguodala can come up with any more clutch shots like his Game 2 dagger, Curry and the Warriors will be happy to let those do the talking for him.
