Kevin Durant is leaving the Oakland Hills and relocating to Hollywood.
Don't worry Warriors fans -- it's just for the next couple of months...
On Monday morning, the 2017 NBA Finals MVP posted a video to his YouTube channel, giving fans an inside look at the place he will call home during the summer.
"I've been here since August. To be here for a full season and to sign it off the way we did winning the championship, it's time for me to have a little break now," Durant said. "Going down to LA for a couple months -- hang out, work out, get better, get ready for the next year.
"Get back and forth to the Bay as much as I can. Can't wait for next season, but signing out. Peace out to my homies in the Bay Area. Your boy will be back soon. You know it. For sure..."
It's safe to assume that Durant will be coming back to the Bay Area in the near future for a press conference if and when he re-signs with the Warriors.
It also needs to be recognized over and over again that the Warriors were able to retain Shaun Livingston and Andre Iguodala because Durant was willing to take a salary below the max for the 2017-18 season.
It's widely expected that Durant will sign another two-year contract, with Year 2 being a player option.
Next season, he will make around $31.8 million -- which is about $3 million less than his max.
Durant will survive, however, as the video below shows him hanging out on a private jet, walking down the steps at LAX and into a car that shuttles him off to his pad.
And speaking of the pad, enjoy...
