The Golden State Warriors completed the sweep of the Portland Trail Blazers in the Western Conference finals on Monday.

The Eastern Conference finals between the Bucks and Raptors will go until at least Game 6 on Saturday. If there ends up being a Game 7 on Monday, it would mean the Dubs will get an entire extra week of rest compared to either Milwaukee or Toronto heading into Game 1 of the NBA Finals next Thursday.

So how are the Warriors preparing? Are they waiting until the East finals conclude before they go all in with the scouting?

"You can't overload players with information," Golden State GM Bob Myers explained on 95.7 The Game on Thursday afternoon. "Whoever we play, it will be a very specific scouting report to that team -- that will require all of your acumen to even process that.

"Luckily, we got guys that are very good at that -- especially on the defensive side -- that are so trained in processing a great amount of information and actually employing that on the floor.

"It's the same as a quarterback, a middle linebacker."

While Myers and Steve Kerr and the coaching staff and the players are certainly watching the games and making some mental notes, others in the organization are already much deeper in detailed preparation.

"What's happening now is our staff -- our scouts -- are scouting both teams and being prepared for when that series ends to be fully ready," Myers said. "They are working right now and guys have been assigned to scout Toronto and guys have been assigned to scout Milwaukee.

"So when it ends, they're ready to roll right then."

We seriously have to wait another seven days until Game 1? We are ready to roll right now...
