Bulls star LaVine praises Draymond as ‘best teammate ever'

Players across the NBA finally were able to see what the Warriors see on an everyday basis with Draymond Green as their Team USA teammate at the Tokyo Olympics.

Chicago Bulls star Zach LaVine couldn't have been more impressed.

LaVine called Green the "best teammate ever" while talking with NBC Sports Chicago at Bulls Media Day.

Green averaged just 3.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.8 assists as Team USA won gold. As LaVine explained, and as the Warriors always have known, Green's impact always has gone past his numbers.

"Draymond is probably the best leader or teammate you could have," LaVine said. "He's out there each and every day watching film with guys, looking at different defensive scouts, bringing guys together. Obviously we know (Kevin Durant) was the best player on the planet at this time in the game, but Draymond was very, very crucial in us winning that gold medal.

"We all bonded and I learned stuff from his as well."

Green now has won three NBA rings, two Olympic golds and led Michigan State to two Final Four trips.

Winning is infectious, and LaVine could feel it whenever Green entered the room.
