Barkley drops Splash Brothers joke when discussing KD, Nets

Klay Thompson, Steph Curry, Kevin Durant

If you’re from the Bay Area, you’ve probably heard of the Splash Brothers and the Bash Brothers. You (or your parents) might listen to the Doobie Brothers.

But have you ever heard of the Dribble Brothers?

Hall of Famer and Turner Sports broadcaster Charles Barkley coined the dubious term during TNT's pregame show Thursday, when referring to James Harden joining Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving on the Brooklyn Nets.

The Nets have been the talk of the NBA this week since acquiring Harden in a four-team deal that was formally announced Thursday.

Per usual, #NBATwitter didn’t disappoint when reacting to the blockbuster trade, as user @DepressedNets shared this funny video-game simulation of what the Brooklyn offense could look like with Harden.

Both Harden and Irving are known for being ball hogs, so it will be interesting to see how Brooklyn coach Steve Nash keeps his trio of superstars happy. Warriors coach Steve Kerr was able to manage a roster with Durant, Steph Curry and Klay Thompson, but they are all shooters who know how to function without the ball.

Leave it to the Chuckster to express how many fans are feeling about the new-look Nets.
