An extremely self-aware Charles Barkley admitted, in typical Charles Barkley fashion, that he decidedly didn't enjoy the first half of the Warriors' game against the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday night.
During the halftime show of TNT's broadcast, the outspoken Turner Sports analyst made excellent use of the freedom from FCC regulations that being on a cable network provides.
"I'm gonna be the old man, get off my lawn [type]," Barkley said. "Y'all sit there watching stupid-a-- basketball, just jack up 3s all night. 'They go in, we win. They miss, [we] lose.' Give me a break, you dumba--es."

The Warriors and Mavericks combined to make 26-of-54 3-pointers in the first half Thursday, good for a 48.1 percent clip. Golden State attempted 26 2-pointers, while Dallas took just 16.
Barkley's thoughts on jump-shooting are well-known and well-documented, and they certainly don't bear repeating here. Sir Charles is stuck in his ways, and if he can't see the fun in two teams combining for 150 first-half points while making half of their 3-pointers, that's his loss.

Of course, the laughs on set and Barkley leaning into his curmudgeonly persona indicate he's having plenty of fun as the contrarian. You probably had fun watching him drop a profanity-laced tirade to prove his point.
If more offensive outbursts mean more outbursts from Barkley, it's really the best of all worlds.
