There has been a near consensus for months now that the three most talented players in the 2020 NBA Draft are Anthony Edwards, James Wiseman and LaMelo Ball. The Warriors, sitting at the No. 2 pick in the draft, will have a shot at two of them, assuming one is selected No. 1 overall.
So, what makes these players so sought after?

Anthony Edwards
"Anthony Edwards to me has got the prototypical explosive, big strong body at 6-foot-5, 230 lbs, nice 6-foot-10 wingspan. Explosive athlete, can make every shot on the court. He can hit 3s, he can go in and dunk on you, he hits runners. He's young, he's a young player.
"The other areas he needs to improve is shot selection, like most kids. Also bringing it every single night, he'll understand quickly there are a lot of players like him. Guys like this are used to dominating physically, he's going to see a bunch of Anthony Edwards's every single night in terms of athleticism and skill-wise like that. But he's a guy you can see star potential in him."

James Wiseman
"This guy is physically incredible. He's 7-foot-1 with a 7-foot-5 wingspan and a 9-foot-6 standing reach, so he's got all the gifts. He can run like a deer. He's a player I think, if they were playing tonight, he would be able to be a lob threat, rim run and block shots. As his career progresses it looks like he will be able to- he has a nice free throw, his free throw looks good- he will be able to extend his shooting range over time.
"He's a big-time, big-time athlete. Seriously, I see David Robinson."

LaMelo Ball
"He's 6-foot-7, went overseas twice and played, so I haven't seen the updated version of him, but I made a few calls. He's a dynamic passer, and he's got speed, he advances the ball with pace. To me, passing is a big quality in the NBA. Being able to pass the ball to your teammates, not only is it good basketball, it has a way of bringing your team together. Everyone likes a passer.
"He's a unique kid, very talented. His brother Lonzo has done a good job, I like the way he has improved his jump shot. Looks like those kids love basketball, so I can anticipate him improving as he moves on. He needs the ball in his hands to be who he is, I'm not quite sure you want the ball out of Steph (Curry), Klay (Thompson) and Draymond (Green's) hands that much."
