Twitter has gotten Daryl Morey into trouble over the last few years, but Thursday, the Philadelphia 76ers president of basketball operations sent a tweet showing nothing but respect for the Warriors and newly sworn in Vice President of the United States, Kamala Harris.
Like most people, Morey was extremely impressed with the video the Warriors created and posted Wednesday morning ahead of the Inauguration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Harris, saying the clip was "too good not to share.'
Morey then went on to congratulate Vice President Harris on her new role and the former Houston Rockets general manager referenced a line he used to describe the his old team losing to the Warriors in the NBA playoffs in 2019.

Here's the tweet the then-Rockets GM posted a day after the Warriors eliminated the Rockets in six games in the second-round of the playoffs.
It's no secret that Morey obsessed about trying to beat the Warriors during his time in Houston. Unfortunately for the executive, the Rockets failed in that mission in 2015, 2016, 2018 and 2019, bowing out to Golden State in the playoffs all four years. To make matters worse for Morey, he had to watch his rival go to the NBA Finals all four years and win the Larry O'Brien Trophy in two of those years.
The NBA fined Morey in late December after he tweeted and then quickly deleted a post acknowledging former Rockets star James Harden breaking the franchise's all-time assists record a year earlier.

Morey was found to have violated the league's anti-tampering rules because Harden had been the subject of trade rumors and the 76ers had been linked to possibly acquiring the All-Star.
Morey probably can rest easy knowing that he won't be fined for his tweet about Vice President Harris.
