Devin Vassell is among the many wing prospects the Warriors reportedly have been tied to in the 2020 NBA Draft.
The 6-foot-7 forward is one of the most consistent shooters in the draft. He projects as a prototypical 3-and-D wing at the NBA level. In two seasons at Florida State, Vassell shot 41.7 percent from 3-point range and ranked in the 80th percentile as a spot-up shooter last season, per Synergy Sports.
Vassell is a good shooter who needed to speed up his stroke just a touch. But based on a recent workout video, it appears he might completely altered his stroke and not for the better.

As you can see, Vassell's new stroke has the ball cocked behind his head and his elbows are almost square to the rim. With his old stroke, he was perfectly balanced (as all things should be) and released the ball at the top of his head.
Now, it is, of course, worth noting that a 20-second video doesn't mean much and it doesn't come with any context.

Vassell is projected to be a lottery pick with most mock drafts having him going in the seven to 11 range. Vassell likely would only be an option for the Warriors if they traded out of the No. 2 overall pick, perhaps in a deal with the New York Knicks, who own the No. 8 overall pick.
Vassell has a 7-foot wingspan and could fill the Andre Iguodala-sized hole the Warriors now have at wing defender.
One video shouldn't impact Vassell's draft stock, but it's not an ideal development one month out from the draft.
