When the Warriors face the LA Clippers next season, Doc Rivers will not patrol the sideline.
Rivers no longer is the Clippers' head coach, sources first told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski on Monday afternoon.
Shortly after Woj broke the news, Rivers took to Twitter.
The Clippers -- considered by many the favorites to win the 2020 NBA title -- blew a three-games-to-one series lead in their Western Conference semifinals matchup with the Denver Nuggets.
Rivers' tenure with the franchise lasted seven seasons. He went 356-208 during the regular season but just 27-32 in the playoffs.
This news surely will have a major domino effect on the rest of the league, as the Clippers join the Houston Rockets, Philadelphia 76ers, Indiana Pacers, New Orleans Pelicans and Oklahoma City Thunder as franchises without a head coach.
