Drake brings game face in chat with Steph Curry in NBA Finals Game 1

Game 1 of the NBA Finals was an exercise in contrasts for Drake.

The four-time Grammy winner is normally chummy with Warriors star Steph Curry. But with Golden State squaring off against the Toronto Raptors -- for whom Drake serves as a global ambassador -- in The Finals, the rapper had his game face on in Toronto's 118-109 win Thursday night.

Curry and Drake's exchange at Toronto's Scotiabank Arena led to a great photo and, with Drake being involved, some memes.

Drake's scowl likely turned back into a smile since the Raptors lead the best-of-seven series one game to none. It's hard to say his efforts -- a Dell Curry Raptors jersey accompanied the trash talk -- didn't exactly get in Steph's head. The two-time MVP led all scorers with 34 points, albeit on just 8-of-18 shooting from the field, and he has now scored 30-or-more points in six straight games. That is now the longest such streak of Curry's career, including the regular-season and playoffs.

But the Raptors have the early edge in the series, and Drake made sure to give the Warriors a parting present with some additional trash talk -- and, apparently, using the actual word "trash" -- on their way off the court. Drake even got in on the memes himself after the game, referencing both of his courtside chats in an Instagram post.

Barring another conversation with NBA executives, it's fair to see Curry and Golden State haven't seen the last of Aubrey Graham.
