Drake places massive bet on Warriors making NBA Finals

Share

It appears that the Warriors continue to have a fan in Drake.

The rapper has quite a history with Golden State, having befriended players such as Steph Curry while getting into courtside spats with Draymond Green.

Remember this?

Steph, Draymond, former Warrior Kevin Durant and the entire organization have also been mentioned in numerous songs of Drake's.

It turns out that Drake is back supporting the Warriors, placing a massive $200,000 bet on Golden State to reach the NBA Finals.

The $200,000 bet in Canadian dollars converts to roughly $158,000 in U.S. dollars.

According to odds provided by our partner, PointsBet, the Warriors are +400 to win the Western Conference, second behind the Phoenix Suns at +115.

If you're a superstitious sports fan, Drake supporting your team isn't necessarily good news. The "Drake Curse" has resulted in devastating losses or disappointment for the Warriors (2016), Kentucky Wildcats men's basketball team, fighter Conor McGregor, NFL and NBA draft prospects Johnny Manziel and Andrew Wiggins, tennis star Serena Williams, multiple European soccer teams and the Alabama Crimson Tide football team.

Yikes.

The Warriors certainly appreciate the support, but hopefully, the curse has been broken by now.
