Draymond jokes he's with LeBron on ‘all washed team'

Draymond Green's impact on the Warriors is immeasurable. The stats don't always show it, but he is the heartbeat of the team on and off the court.

Draymond's critics, including Hall of Famer and current TNT analyst Charles Barkley, love to pour cold water on the game of the three-time NBA champion and three-time All-Star, often saying he's the master of the "triple-single."

He hasn't been an All-Star since 2017-18 and he hasn't averaged double-digit points per game since that season, leading some of Draymond's critics to label him washed up, passed his prime.

But Draymond hears those remarks and he's taking them in stride, even poking fun at them in a recent Instagram Story post.

"@kingjames the washed king but I'm somewhere on the all washed team too," Draymond wrote.

Draymond was responding to an original tweet from @PlayoffDraymond, which highlighted some of the eye-popping stat lines he posted during the 2020-21 NBA season.

Draymond averaged a career-high 8.9 assists last season, and in the process put up some staggering assist numbers.

Despite technically playing power forward, Draymond is a point forward and he had 24 games with at least 10 assists last season. In seven of those 24 games, he recorded at least 15 dimes, and had had 19 in two games. He even led the entire NBA in assists during February.

Draymond and LeBron, who was an MVP candidate last season before suffering a severe ankle injury, are far from washed. They also have something else in common: They love when they are doubted. It fuels them to be great. This is just more gasoline for Draymond's engine.
