First, James Harden got an elbow to the head.
Following the Warriors' Game 4 loss Monday night, Green was asked about the Harden elbow that sent him to the floor for a few seconds. Suffice to say, he didn't pass up a chance to point out the hypocrisy of the much-discussed officiating controversies at the start of the NBA playoff series.
Draymond Green on elbow he got from James Harden: “I told y’all I get fouled on James Harden 3-pointers, y’all thought I was lying. Y’all thought I be making shit up.”— Logan Murdock (@loganmmurdock) May 7, 2019
Green's comment, of course, was in reference to Harden's "fair chance" plea after the Warriors' Game 1 win.
"I mean, I just want a fair chance, man,” Harden said then. “Call the game how it’s supposed to be called, and that’s it. And I’ll live with the results."
When those comments were relayed to Green, the Warriors' power forward was having none of it.
"I've been fouled by James on a James 3-pointer before,” Green said, referring to Harden’s tendency to extend his legs to draw contact after shooting. “No, I ain't going with that one. I'm straight. No."
On Monday, it wasn't Harden's legs but rather his arms that did the damage.
Apparently, Green wasn't making s--t up.
