Draymond Green praises LeBron James, hopes he runs for President one day

A couple of weeks ago, NBA superstar LeBron James created the organization "More Than a Vote."

Warriors forward Draymond Green -- who is business partners with LeBron as the two share the same agent -- is a part of the initiative.

"LeBron yields a lot of power, as he should," the three-time NBA champion said on ESPN's "First Take" Tuesday morning. "Arguably the greatest player of all time. His resume is flawless -- on and off the court. It's more important the things that he's been able to accomplish off the court.

"That's where he gets the utmost respect from me. As a competitor, I enjoy playing against him. But what he's done off the court ... hopefully, he runs for President (of the United States) one day."

Draymond admitted that he has not voted since the 2008 presidential election, and has never cast a vote in a local election.

"More than a Vote" will aim to educate the Black community on voter suppression and the voting process in general, with a focus on increasing turnout.

“Yes, we want you to go out and vote, but we’re also going to give you the tutorial,” James told Jonathan Martin of The New York Times. “We’re going to give you the background of how to vote and what they’re trying to do, the other side, to stop you from voting.”

It is a fantastic program that hopefully will have a profound impact on society.

It's great to see Draymond fighting for equality and using his platform.
