Draymond Green felt compelled to respond to an Instagram post critical of the three-time NBA champion.
The account "House of Highlights" Wednesday morning showed two clips -- one from the Warriors' game vs. the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday and the other from Tuesday night's game vs. the Milwaukee Bucks -- of the defense completely ignoring Draymond upon him catching the ball at the 3-point line.
The post included a caption: "Teams are leaving Draymond wide open. 🤨😳"
The reply from the three-time NBA All-Star: "Hahahaha ya'll sure don't show that they been paying leaving me open lately though. Good propaganda."
Draymond went 0-for-3 from beyond the arc vs. the Bucks.
But he made 36.6 percent from his 3-point attempts over the prior 18 games. So don't be fooled by the fact he's shooting 26.4 percent from deep on the season, as that does not tell the whole story.
The 31-year-old got off to a very slow start after spending a long time in COVID-19 health and safety protocols, and it took him a while to get his conditioning/wind up to speed.
He probably won't ever shoot 38.8 percent from distance again as he did during the 2015-16 campaign, but yours truly can't wait to see his percentage next season when the stakes should be really high.
