Draymond a late scratch before Warriors-Heat with sore ankle

Warriors' Draymond Green

Draymond Green won't play for the Warriors on Wednesday night against the Miami Heat at Chase Center.

Golden State scratched Green due to right ankle soreness shortly before tipoff, with Mychal Mulder replacing Green in Golden State's starting lineup. Juan Toscano-Anderson started at center.

Green started each of the Warriors' previous seven games at center while Kevon Looney (left ankle sprain) and James Wiseman (left wrist sprain) were injured. The 30-year-old recorded at least 10 assists in all but one of those games, including 16 in the Warriors' win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday. His 86 assists in those seven games were the most by a center in a seven-game stretch over the last 50 years.

Looney is expected to return on the Warriors' upcoming road trip, while Wiseman will be re-evaluated Thursday.
