Draymond takes shot at Brooks after winning podcast award

Just when Memphis Grizzlies forward Dillon Brooks thought he had the last word, Warriors star Draymond Green took the mic back. Literally.

Shortly after learning his podcast "The Draymond Green Show" won iHeartRadio’s Best Sports Podcast, the Warriors star forward had a message for Brooks on Twitter.

Green’s clap back comes after the most recent Warriors-Grizzlies matchup last week, a 131-110 win for Memphis at FedEx Forum. In an on-court postgame interview with TNT's Jared Greenberg, Brooks was asked what his message to Green was after the two came face-to-face in the second quarter.

"That's what I do, I talk," Brooks said. "I told him keep that mic open. Keep doing his podcast, keep blogging, keep doing his thing off the court. You know it's cute, it's fun for him."

But it didn’t end there.

After Greenberg was complimentary of Brooks’ showing in the win, in which he finished with 14 points on 6-of-15 shooting, four rebounds and six assists, Brooks had one final message for Green.

"Thank you. Appreciate it. Appreciate it," Brooks added. "You should give the mic to Draymond, make him talk about me … Make him keep talking about me so I can play better."

Well, Green did just that and ended up with an award for it.

The two teams have been going at it since last year's Western Conference semifinals, but a recent interview Brooks did with ESPN fueled the rivalry even more. The Grizzlies forward said he flat-out doesn't like the Warriors and completely dissed Green.

"I don't like Draymond at all," Brooks told ESPN's Tim Keown. "I just don't like Golden State. I don't like anything to do with them. Draymond talks a lot. Gets away with a lot, too. His game is cool -- with Golden State -- but if you put him anywhere else, you're not going to know who Draymond is.

"He plays with heart, plays hard, knows the ins and outs of their defense. I guess that's why they like him over there."

And what did Green do? He grabbed that award-winning mic and absolutely grilled Brooks on his podcast

The two have gone back and forth all season, and it likely won't end anytime soon

Memphis hosts Golden State for the final time of the regular season on Saturday where the mics will be off but the talking likely won't stop.
