Draymond offers KAT candid advice after recent trash talk

Take it from Draymond Green, trash-talking can have its consequences.

From one outspoken player to another, Draymond had some feedback for Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns on the latest episode of "The Draymond Green Show" podcast after the superstar made headlines with his trash-talk and on-court taunting in the first-round NBA playoff series against the Memphis Grizzlies.

"Minnesota is up 4-1 and somehow they're down 3-2," Green said of the Timberwolves' series. "It's absolutely incredible how those guys have put themselves in position where they should have already won four out of five games and somehow they only managed to win two of them. It seems to go wrong every time [Towns] says something on the mic or he tells people to shut up or wave. At some point, you probably should just be yourself because it just hasn't been going right when he does that. I've never known Karl Towns to be such a big talker. This year, especially the past few months it's been a lot of that. When you talk like that, you got to back that up. And Memphis ain't hearing it."

With the series tied one game apiece, Towns was mic'd up in Game 3 and told his teammates "yeah, we in Minnesota now" while the Wolves had a sizeable lead at home before halftime, only to be trolled by Ja Morant afterward after Minnesota ended up losing in the second half. Towns' trash talk has intensified this series, even with the Wolves blowing leads in multiple games.

Draymond is well-versed in that department, all-too-familiar with the repercussions that can come with the art of trash talking. With Minnesota on the brink of elimination in Game 6 at Target Center on Friday night, Towns and the Wolves will look to fend off a very hungry Grizzlies team.
