Monday night wasn't pretty for the Warriors, and it didn't sit well with one Mary Babers Green.
After the two-time defending champions blew a 31-point lead to the Los Angeles Clippers in the second half of Game 2 of their first-round NBA playoff series, Draymond Green's mom started taking names on Twitter, mainly in the form of retweets.
First, Babers Green criticized the Dubs for making her miss her bedtime.
GSW-y’all need to be punched in the throat! I need to two-piece y’all for real for real! Had me miss my dang on bed talk for that GIVE AWAY! -#tickedallthewayoff— Mary B (@BabersGreen) April 16, 2019
Then, the retweets started flowing, with Babers giving credence to Warriors fans who were upset with coach Steve Kerr's rotations and Kevin Durant's passive play against Clippers irritant Patrick Beverley during the 135-131 loss.
Below are a few of the tweets that Babers Green retweeted after the loss.
Marcus, can you confirm or deny that Kerr picked the rotations in the third quarter out of a hat? Did he lose a dare? What the hell was that?— kevgilday (@kevgilday) April 16, 2019
Doc knows he can’t put Beverly on Steph because it’s cookies, so he put him on KD to get in his head and it’s worked 2 games in a row.....— Manny Gabriel (@NinerGangManny) April 16, 2019
@KDTrey5 stop playing the game with Beverly. Play your game.— ChrisIsTheWayILive (@GOSU49) April 16, 2019
There's certainly reason to be frustrated.
The Warriors were cruising to an easy win and a 2-0 series lead before Steph Curry went to the bench in the third quarter with four fouls. After that point, the Dubs began to unravel, letting the Clippers back in the game with a number of careless turnovers and indefensible mental errors.
Before fouling out in the fourth quarter, Durant had attempted just eight shots and committed nine turnovers. He did, however, lead the team with 12 free-throw attempts and was second with 21 points.
The Warriors will need to respond quickly in order to try and make this a quick series.
With DeMarcus Cousins reportedly out with a torn left quad, the last thing the Warriors want to do is toy around with the pesky Clippers before possibly facing the Houston Rockets in the second round.
