Five best moments of Shaun Livingston's career with Warriors
2019 NBA Finals Game 2
Shaun Livingston always did the little things. Whatever it took to win.
So, it makes sense that No. 5 on the list would a simple play that led to a game-winning 3-pointer. With the Warriors leading by two late in Game 2 of the 2019 NBA Finals against the Raptors, Toronto trapped Steph Curry and forced a wild pass that looked destined to be stolen for an easy game-tying layup. But Livingston somehow snatched the ball away from Kawhi Leonard, dished it back to Curry, who found Andre Iguodala for the game-clinching 3-pointer.
Game 5 2016 NBA Finals
The 2016 NBA Finals are a dark moment in the Dubs' dynastic run, but Livingston showed out during that series against the Cavaliers. Just ask Richard Jefferson.
In Game 5 of the NBA Finals, Livingston went around and screen and flew down the lane where Jefferson had rotated over to meet him. The Warriors guard elevated and threw down a vicious dunk on the Cavs forward.
Had the Warriors sealed the deal in 2016, Livingston's dunk would be one of the most memorable highlights of their five-year run.
Game 1 2016 NBA Finals
Plain and simple, Game 1 of the 2016 NBA Finals was "The Shaun Livingston Game."
With Curry and Klay Thompson struggling against the Cavs, scoring 20 total points on 8-for-27 shooting, Livingston balled out, pouring in 20 points on 8-for-10 shooting to give the Warriors a 104-89 win and a 1-0 series.
No matter who was defending him, Livingston had his patented pull-up jumper working, tormenting the Cavs all night at Oracle Arena.
Game 4 2018 Western Conference finals
The 2018 Western Conference finals against the Houston Rockets was one of the defining moments of the Warriors' dynasty, and the home for the final two most memorable moments in Livingston's Warriors career.
With the Warriors holding a 2-1 series lead and an eight-point lead in the fourth quarter, Livingston made a play that could have been an exclamation point on the Dubs taking a 3-1 series lead.
Livingston went to set a pick for Curry but slipped to the bucket and received a bounce pass from the two-time NBA MVP. Rockets big man Clint Capela was waiting for him at the rim but Livingston went up and hammered home a massive dunk, sending Oracle into a frenzy.
Game 3 2018 Western Conference finals
The final moment on our list might not have been a winning play, but it made James Harden look foolish so it belongs here.
The Warriors led by 23 in the fourth quarter and were well on their way to a 2-1 series lead when Livingston put an exclamation point on the win. The guard came down the floor with Harden picking him up at the 3-point line. Harden reached to poke the ball away, but Livingston crossed him, slipping the ball behind his back and waltzing down the lane for an easy dunk, leaving Harden looking like a kid who had just been punked by his older brother.
