Warriors fans might see a familiar face on the floor when the team takes on the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday. Former first-round draft pick Damian Jones has signed a 10-day contract with LA, the organization announced on Friday.

Jones was the 30th overall pick by the Warriors back in 2016, and was a member of both the 2017 and 2018 NBA Finals-winning squads.

The big man had been playing with the Phoenix Suns this season after signing a two-year contract back in November, but was waived on Feb. 23. Jones averaged 1.6 points and 1.3 rebounds in 14 games with Phoenix in 2020-21.

He joins the Lakers as valuable frontcourt depth following the injury to star Anthony Davis, who aggravated a calf injury earlier this month and is expected to be sidelined at least the All-Star break.

Over three seasons with the Warriors, Jones started 22 of his 49 games, putting up an average line of 3.6 points and 2.3 rebounds.
