James Wiseman's ability is tantalizing. Anthony Edwards' ceiling surely will make many NBA teams drool. A few will fall for LaMelo Ball.
But as the Warriors sit with the No. 2 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, they might be better served moving down the draft board where a number of talented mid-lottery picks await who will fit their system and culture perfectly.
"Three guys I love for them if they were in the back-end of the top 10 are Onyeka Okongwu out of USC. I think he's got a chance to be the best big out of this draft," ESPN's draft expert Mike Schmitz told 95.7 The Game. "I think he fits them perfectly. He's a guy who doesn't need the ball offensively. He's ready-made defensively. He blocks everything at the rim. He's a really smart pick-and-roll defender. I think you could plug him in right away and he kind of fits their timeline.

"Tyrese Haliburton out of Iowa State is another perfect fit, if you are talking about a perimeter player. He might be available in the back-end of the top 10, probably somewhere in that four to eight range. But incredible kid, high basketball IQ, doesn't need a ton of possessions to really have an impact. Genius off-ball defender. You'll hear a lot of people in the league compare his personality to a Shaun Livingston type. Now, not exactly his game but just the way he is wired and the way his teammates kind of gravitate toward him.
"The last one is Isaac Okoro out of Auburn. You'll hear some comparisons to an Andre Iguodala, you know that Swiss-Army Knife dude who can guard everyone, handle and pass. So those are three names, and the kid Deni Avdija out of Isreal. I think he could be a perfect fit as well. So that's why I think it would be really interesting for them to think long and hard about moving back to that back end of the top 10 because there are handful of players who have a chance to be better than some of the players we have projected in the top three."
The Warriors have been connected to just about every prospect in the top-10 of the class. While conventional wisdom seems to point to the Warriors targeting Wiseman at No. 2, a number of trade-down scenarios could present themselves on draft night. There will be more than a few teams clamoring to come up to No. 2 to get one of Wiseman, Ball or Edwards, and the Warriors could take advantage of that.

We've detailed a number of possible trade-down scenarios that could see the Warriors acquire a player -- like Wendell Carter Jr. or Kelly Oubre Jr. -- and still get a player in the back-end of the lottery. That would appear to be the best of both worlds.
In a draft with no generational talent, the Warriors would be wise to survey all their options and make the most out of the No. 2 pick.
