Warriors start game hot
The Warriors came out of the gate playing well in Game 3 and led the Rockets 30-18 after the first quarter. They shot 12-of-26 from the field. Andrew Bogut scored 10 points to lead the way.
Howard looks just fine
Midway through the first quarter, Rockets center Dwight Howard threw down a monster dunk, showing now ill-effects from his knee injury suffered in Game 1. He led Houston with six points in the first 12 minutes.
Curry sets NBA record
With 4:31 left in the second quarter, Steph Curry hit his 59th 3-pointer of the 2015 postseason, breaking Pacers legend Reggie Miller's record of 58 set in 2000. The Warriors point guard set the record in 13 games while Miller needed 22 games to make 58.
Warriors take huge lead into break
The Warriors expanded their lead in the second quarter and took a 62-37 lead into the locker room. James Harden, the MVP runner-up, was held to eight points in the first half, while Steph Curry racked up 18 points.
Warriors don't let up
The Warriors kept the foot on the pedal coming out of the locker room and finished the third quarter up 92-61. Steph Curry ended the period with 37 points in the game.
After a historic comeback against the Clippers in the previous round, the Rockets season hangs in the balance after an embarrassing loss to the Warriors in Game 3.
One win from Finals
The Warriors are on the brink of reaching the NBA Finals after a convincing win over the Rockets in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals on Saturday in Houston. Steph Curry finished with a game-high 40 points.
