Honoring the MVP
Stephen Curry was presented his 2014-15 MVP in front of a raucous Oracle Arena prior to the start of Game 2.
Despite fracturing his face less than two weeks ago and missing Game 1, Mike Conley suited up and started Game 2. Conley had nine points in the first quarter.
The Grizzlies controlled the pace in the first and led the Warriors 28-22 after one.
The Grizzlies took a 50-39 lead over the Warriors into half. Memphis had 28 points in the paint compared to Golden State's 14. This marked the second time all season the Warriors finished with less than 40 points.
Struggling to score
The Warriors trailed Memphis 73-63 after three quarters and were unable to get much of their offense going. Entering the fourth, Golden State was 6-of-20 from beyond the arc.
After three quarters, Klay Thompson had just five points and turned the ball over five times.
First playoff loss
The Warriors lost for the first time in the playoffs falling to Memphis 97-90. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson combined for only 32 points and the Warriors scored a season-low at home.
