Stephen Curry went through his normal pregame routine prior to Game 2 of the NBA Finals and made his first try at his standard hallway shot.
Klay Thompson came out firing and scored nine of the Warriors' first 11 points helping them build a 20-12 lead.
LeBron strikes back
The Cavaliers answered with an 8-0 run to tie the game at 20 at the end of the first quarter. LeBron James had 10 points in the opening period.
The Cavaliers went on a 17-4 run midway through the second quarter to lead 42-35 with just over three minutes to play in the first half.
Stephen Curry only scored eight points in the first half and went 2-of-10 from the field and 1-of-7 from three.
Klay carries Warriors into half
Klay Thompson had 20 of the Warriors' 45 points at the half as Golden State trailed Cleveland 47-45.
The Cavaliers and Warriors missed plenty of shots in the third quarter as both teams combined for 29 total points. Cleveland took a 62-59 lead into the fourth.
LeBron James controlled the pace of the fourth quarter and was able to post a triple-double with over three minutes remaining in the fourth. He finished with 39 points, 16 rebounds and 11 assists.
The Warriors trailed 83-72 with 3:13 to play in the fourth quarter, but went on a 15-4 run over the final three minutes to send Game 2 into overtime.
Running out of gas
Matthew Dellavedova grabbed a key rebound and hit two clutch free throws with less than 10 seconds to play in overtime to seal the 95-93 victory and tie the series up.
