Giannis ‘happy' Klay is back after big game vs. Bucks

Klay Thompson’s return has made an impact past Dub Nation.

The Warriors star guard made his season debut in early January after being away from the NBA for 941 days, and the league has certainly missed him.

On Saturday, Thompson lit up Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks after he dropped 38 points on eight triples and 62.5 percent shooting from the field in the Warriors’ 122-109 win over the Bucks at Chase Center.

Antetokounmpo praised Klay after his best game of the season.

“It's kinda funny that we haven’t seen him in a while due to his injury, it’s kinda like we forgot who he is,” Thompson said. “He made one and then I feel like it wasn’t urgent enough to discourage him from the second one, the third one, the fourth one, so it wasn’t urgent enough.

“But at the end of the day, obviously, it hurts to lose a game, especially to start a road trip like this, but I'm happy for Klay. I'm happy for somebody to face adversity, to come back and play at a high level. He had a great game, he made tough shots. He was being Klay, I’m happy he’s back.”

Antetokounmpo is known as being a huge Steph Curry fan. And it appears his fandom traveled to the other Splash Bro.
