Some NBA news surfaced Friday morning that could impact the Warriors.
Toronto Raptors star forward Pascal Siakam underwent surgery last week on his left shoulder, and the expected recovery time is about five months.

What does this have to do with the Warriors?
Well, Siakam is somebody that has been discussed as a potential trade candidate.
So on one hand, this injury makes you wonder if Golden State will be more reluctant to go after him. But on the flip side, perhaps the Warriors wouldn't have to give up as much to acquire him.
You can make a strong argument for both sides.

Conventional wisdom suggests that Andrew Wiggins -- who is from the Toronto area -- almost certainly would be involved in any potential deal.
But Wiggins just completed the best all-around season of his career, and there is reason to believe he will be even better once Klay Thompson returns.
As for Siakam, he was named the NBA's Most Improved Player in 2018-19 and earned All-NBA Second-Team honors in 2019-20. He would be a fantastic fit.

The 27-year-old averaged 21.4 points, 7.2 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.1 steals this past season, while shooting 45.5 percent from the field. His 3-point percentage, however, dipped to 29.7 from 36.9 and 35.9 the prior two years.
Siakam is scheduled to make $33 million, $35.4 million and $37.9 million over the next three years respectively.
