Iguodala limited in Game 1 vs Spurs due to left knee soreness

OAKLAND -- Despite sitting out the second half of Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals with a sore left knee, Warriors forward Andre Iguodala did not seem alarmed.

“It’s just some soreness,” he told NBCSportsBayArea.com after the Warriors came back for a 113-111 win over San Antonio at Oracle Arena on Sunday. “It happens from time to time. I’ll get checked tomorrow.”

Iguodala played a season-low 10 minutes in the first half and did not play to his usual standard, submitting two points, one assist and one steal. He did not grab any rebounds and was minus-19 in his time on the court.

“He just looked a little hobbled out there,” acting coach Mike Brown said of Iguodala. “. . . In the second half, because he looked a little hobbled to me in the first half, I just went in another direction.”

Iguodala’s knees have required regular maintenance in recent years, occasionally forcing him out of the lineup. He’ll be re-evaluated Monday, with an update to follow.
