Four months after the Warriors eliminated the Memphis Grizzlies in Game 6 of the Western Conference semifinals, Ja Morant still hasn't let the loss go.
On Wednesday's episode of "The Pivot Podcast," Morant was asked what was the next step in his career, to which he replied that being healthy was his No. 1 goal.
While stating how important it was for him to be available, Morant once again claimed that had he been on the court against the Warriors, the results would have been vastly different.

"I feel like, me personally and my teammates, we were the favorites in that series, and I feel like it was pretty much our year," Morant said to hosts and former NFL players Channing Crowder, Fred Taylor and Ryan Clark. "But that injury caused me to be out and now you have to change lineups and guys are playing without me.
"I feel like that's the most frustrating part for me, being out there and not being able to compete with my teammates."
Morant injured his knee during Game 3 against the Warriors and subsequently missed the remainder of the series. Since the Grizzlies' season ended, Morant has been very vocal about how Memphis had a shot of winning the NBA championship had he not been injured.
Being the competitor that he is, it makes sense why Morant is using the Grizzlies' loss to the Warriors as fuel, along with a few Draymond Green quotes, for the 2022-23 NBA season.

That said, Morant was gracious in defeat, giving the Warriors' stars their flowers after Game 6.

Despite Morant downplaying a potential rivalry with the Warriors, it's clear that he still feels some type of way toward the reigning champions.
With so much being said prior to the upcoming season, the Warriors-Grizzlies Christmas Day matchup can't come soon enough.
