Grizzlies' Jackson trolls Warriors after Memphis' blowout win

The Memphis Grizzlies are rolling toward the playoffs and letting everyone hear about it.

The Warriors were the latest victim of the Grizz on Monday night. With Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Otto Porter Jr. resting and Steph Curry out with a sprained foot ligament, the Grizzlies steamrolled the Warriors 123-95 at FedExForum.

After the win, Grizzlies star big man Jaren Jackson Jr. roasted the Warriors on Twitter. Jackson changed his Twitter avatar to teammate De'Anthony Melton dunking on Kevon Looney and trolled Golden State by using the Warriors' famous slogan from their championship years.

Jackson didn't play Monday night as both he and star guard Ja Morant were on the bench to witness their teammates' destruction of the star-less Warriors.

Jackson wasn't the only Grizzly talking, though, as Dillon Brooks took a shot at Andre Iguodala who refused to play for Memphis when he was traded there following the 2018-19 season.

"We all had the vision," Brooks told reporters in Memphis after the game. "He didn't, which is perfect. Send him back to the Warriors and let him do his thing over there."

Memphis is cruising toward the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference. Meanwhile, the Warriors, who currently own the No. 3 seed, have now lost five of six without Curry and are in danger of falling to the No. 4 seed or lower.

The Warriors will have to use the playoffs to get right and find a rhythm. That's a dangerous proposition in a deep Western Conference.

But if Golden State can hang onto the No. 3 seed and get out of the first round of the playoffs, a matchup with the Grizzlies likely will await in the Western Conference semifinals.

Expect the Warriors to have Monday night's trash talk filed away in anticipation of a second-round clash.
