Stephen Curry is the reigning MVP and is arguably the best basketball player on the planet.

He's averaging 32.1 points, 5.9 assists, 5.1 rebounds and 2.6 steals per game. He's on pace to make 400 3-pointers this season.

His teammate, Draymond Green, is averaging 12.7 points, 7.8 rebounds, 6.6 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.3 blocks per game.

He's shooting 43.5 percent from deep (33.7 last year) and 80 percent from the free throw line (66 percent last year).

"We have two of the Top 10 players in the leauge -- Draymond Green is the second one," Warriors Executive Board member Jerry West declared on KNBR 680-AM on Wednesday morning. "He's the most underrated player in the NBA, period. There are very few players anyone in our organization would trade for him. He's just a remarkable player. Watch him handle the ball, watch him make passes, defensively he's everywhere...

"... He is so infectious. He's just a marvelous person. I am thrilled with the success he's had. Absolutely thrilled. One of those people you root for."

Green was not an All-Star last season. He was not named to an All-NBA team. But that could change this year.

After the Warriors won the title, he signed a 5-year/$82 million extension in the offseason. He isn't exactly a household name, but he's universally respected and appreciated now.

Green is second in the NBA in "plus-minus" at 14.2 (Curry is first at 14.8, Andre Iguodala third at 13.0, Klay Thompson fourth at 11.5 and Harrison Barnes sixth at 10.7).

According to ESPN's "Real Plus-Minus" statistic, Green is fifth in the league at 5.68. Only Curry, Russell Westbrook, Kyle Lowry and LeBron James have higher marks.

Draymond can guard all five positions and finished runner-up for Defensive Player of the Year last season.

"If he's not a Top 10 player in this league, I don't know who is," West said.
