Juan Toscano-Anderson had more than just the support of Dub Nation in the dunk contest.

The Warriors forward ended up finishing second to New York's Obi Toppin in the NBA's Slam Dunk Contest on Saturday night at Rocket Mortage FieldHouse.

Toscano-Anderson, an Oakland native who has quickly become a fan-favorite with the Warriors, had the support of Miami Heat superstar Jimmy Butler. Both Butler and Toscano-Anderson went to Marquette University and the six-time NBA All-Star was proud to support his fellow golden eagle.

"Juan he's the young, athletic big guard from Marquette, so I gotta root for him here," Butler told reporters at Media Day on Saturday. "I'm actually super happy and proud of him, where he's come from, the journey he's taken to get to this point in the league and to be in the dunk contest. That's big for my guy."

Butler played for Marquette for three seasons from 2008-2011, while Toscano-Anderson spent four seasons with the team from 2011-2015. The two just barely missed playing with each other as Butler was eventually drafted by the Chicago Bulls with the No. 30 pick in the 2011 NBA Draft.

Nevertheless, Butler knows the name and didn't pass up the opportunity to root for one of his own.
