Jonas Jerebko was the 39th pick by the Pistons in the 2009 NBA Draft. As a rookie, he averaged 9.3 points and 6.0 rebounds while shooting over 48 percent from the field.

Then, during a preseason game in October 2010, he tore his right Achilles tendon.

"I had to get back to work and try to earn myself a new contract," Jerebko told Bay Area reporters Monday. "It was a tough time, but it's behind me now. It was a long year."

You know who else has torn an Achilles?

DeMarcus Cousins.

"Definitely gonna talk to him when I get the chance," Jerebko said of the new Warriors big man. "Just take his time. He's gonna be back no problem. I haven't had any problems with it. I took my time. It took quite some time, but I did my rehab right.

"And I know he's gonna be back 100 percent. I'm definitely gonna give him a call and reach out to him. ... I've been through it."
