Bilas confident Kuminga, Moody will take leap for Warriors

In the last decade, the Warriors have turned fleeting seasons into a dynasty, thanks in part to shrewd trades and drafting. The latter is important to note, as the Warriors' front office has been known to strike gold with recent draft picks, most notably Jordan Poole (28th in 2019).

With the Warriors' success in the draft, it seems the team's future is in good hands with 2021 draft picks Jonathan Kuminga (No. 7 overall) and Moses Moody (14th).

"He's super talented," ESPN's Jay Bilas told Monte Poole on the latest "Dubs Talk" regarding Kuminga. That talent was evident in Kuminga's rookie season, where he averaged 9.3 points and 3.3 rebounds and shot over 51 percent from the field -- in about 17 minutes a game -- and showed flashes of extreme athleticism on both ends of the floor.

What's more, Kuminga showed he was willing to play hard on the defensive end, as evidenced by his taking the opportunity to guard NBA stars such as LeBron James and Ja Morant.

Meanwhile, though Moody only played sparingly on the big club throughout the season, Bilas thinks his ability to shoot the ball, get to stripe and his long arms can make him an asset for the Warriors in the coming years.

"He's got the body for it and the aptitude -- he's going to be really good," Bilas said of Moody.

Additionally, with how the Warriors have developed their home-grown players, Bilas thinks the sky's the limit for both players.

"They're gonna keep getting better," Bilas concluded.

In the end, if the Warriors are looking to continue this dynasty after the Big Three of Steph, Klay and Draymond, Kuminga and Moody are the keys to continuing that run. That's not even including James Wiseman, who recently returned to action after more than a year away from the court.

With those three in tow along with Andrew Wiggins, the aforementioned Poole and the rest of the draft picks from 2022 and beyond, the Warriors could be on the precipice of another dynasty sooner rather than later.
