JP hilariously throws mouthpiece at Steph after Warriors win

Because the Warriors managed to pull out a thrilling 122-120 win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday night, everyone at Chase Center was in a good mood after the game.

That allowed Jordan Poole to have some fun with Steph Curry after the latter was ejected for tossing his mouthpiece in frustration over an ill-advised 3-pointer by the former.

With Curry waiting in the tunnel outside the locker room, Poole approached him and jokingly through his mouthpiece against the wall before hugging the reigning NBA Finals MVP.

After the game, Poole and Curry were both asked about the interaction by NBC Sports Bay Area's Monte Poole.

JP played it coy, while Curry had some fun with it.

"I don't even know what you're talking about, bro," Poole said. "I don't even remember. Short memory. ... We kind of embraced a little bit. Obviously, he's our leader and we would love to have him in the game in the last three and we just found a way to grit it out, get a big win against a really good team. And got to keep that momentum going."

While Curry was all smiles in the tunnel, when speaking with reporters, he said Poole's joke might not have come at the right time.

"I did see that," Curry said. "It's like one of those 'too soon' jokes. I was still hot. I was still hot."

Curry admitted after the game that he let his emotions get the best of him, something he knows can't happen, and Poole will learn a valuable lesson about managing late-game situations.
