OAKLAND – Steve Kerr spent some time around the Warriors during practice Monday morning, but there remains no timetable for the coach to return.
“We’re going to keep approaching it as if he’s not coming back (anytime soon), so that we’re prepared,” interim coach Luke Walton said. “He does sound a lot better. He looks better. It was nice having him around the guys today.

“But as far as when (he’ll return), there’s just no way to know. If we prepare for it too early, that means we won’t be prepared if he doesn’t come back. So we’ve got to keep going at this thing as a staff as if he’s not going to be here.”
Kerr, who underwent two back surgeries last summer, continues to cope with side effects of the procedures, including headaches and difficulty sleeping. He has been on leave of absence since Sept. 30.
