KD, Draymond finally explain their viral hyped-up meme

Admit it, you've used this gif before to hype someone up. Don't know what I'm talking about yet?

It's of course the viral Draymond Green-Kevin Durant meme from KD's first season with the Warriors. Here's your friendly reminder of the meme, and that Durant loves it.

The viral moment came to life during Durant's first playoff game with the Warriors on April 16, 2017, against the Portland Trail Blazers. Green on Thursday joined Durant on his "the etcs w/ KD" podcast and the two laughed and reminisced when remembering how it all went down.

Draymond: "I remember that convo."

Durant: "It was really the gas. It was really a gas."

Draymond: "I was definitely gassin' him up like, 'Yo, can't nobody f--k with you! Can't nobody f--kin' stop you!' That's what I was sayin'."

KD: "I was sittin' there like, 'Yeah, I know.' Yeah, I liked his gas though. I ain't had this from nobody."

Draymond: "I'm like, 'K, if you do this they can't f--kin' stop you!' You're like, 'Yup! I know, I know.' That's really what it was."

KD: "That's exactly what it was."

Green was right, too.

Durant was dominant that night. He scored 32 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as the Warriors beat the Blazers, 121-109, in Game 1 of their first-round series. He then missed the next two games to a calf injury.

Durant averaged 28.5 points, 7.9 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game in the playoffs his first season with the Warriors. He went on to win his first of back-to-back NBA Finals MVPs when he averaged an absurd 35.2 points, 8.2 rebounds and 5.4 assists in five games against LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Over their three years together as teammates, Durant and Green had countless moments Warriors fans never will forget. But it's the meme that lives on forever to this day.
