Kevin Durant's return to the Golden State Warriors' lineup lasted just over 14 minutes of game time Monday night.

With 9:50 remaining in the second quarter of Game 5 of the NBA Finals, Durant re-injured his lower right leg when he tried to dribble around Toronto Raptors big man Serge Ibaka.

Durant immediately was helped to the Warriors' locker room at Scotiabank Arena. He yelled an expletive as he left the court.

The Warriors later announced that Durant indeed had suffered a lower right leg injury and would not return to the game. He will have an MRI on Tuesday.

KD was seen leaving the arena on crutches during the third quarter.

Durant was playing in his first game since May 8 when he strained his right calf during Game 5 of the Warriors' second-round playoff series against the Houston Rockets.

Raptors fans, whom many had applauded for their passion throughout the NBA Finals, appeared to cheer Durant's injury.

The two-time NBA Finals MVP was off to a hot start in his return, scoring 11 points in 12 minutes of action.
