The Warriors will be without one of their All-Stars on Wednesday night.
Kevin Durant will not play against the Timberwolves because of a left thigh contusion, the team announced.
Durant appeared in all of the Warriors' first 11 games.
He is averaging 24.8 points, 7.7 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 2.5 blocks this season, while shooting 53 percent from the field and over 46 percent from deep.
Over 34 career games against Minnesota, Durant is averaging 27.4 points on 50 percent shooting.
After taking knee to the thigh on first #Warriors possession, Durant limped it off and kept playing. Was clobbered many more times over 33 minutes. Did not practice Tuesday. Warriors don't want to risk aggravating it tonight. https://t.co/lkRPNwDn0p— Monte Poole (@MontePooleNBCS) November 8, 2017
