Last week, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reported that the two-time NBA Finals MVP was not going to be in the building.
But after the Nets' win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night, interim coach Jacque Vaughn made headlines when he said that KD would remain with the team for the remainder of its road trip.
The assumption was that Durant therefore would attend the game against his former squad. But it's possible that he always planned on watching from another location in the Bay Area -- at the team hotel or somewhere else.
It's also possible that the plan changed after Wednesday morning's announcement that the game will be played without any fans in attendance due to coronavirus precautions.
