Memory of Klay's 37-point quarter still haunts Kings social

Steph Curry's 25-point first quarter in the Warriors' 115-113 win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday brought back the memory of Klay Thompson's record-setting 37-point frame back in 2015.

The NBA's official Instagram account shared a highlight recognizing the Splash Brothers as the only players in the league's history with 25 or more points with five made 3-pointers and a 100 percent clip from the field in a single quarter. The Kings' social team was less than amused (h/t Reddit u/holden0330).

Thompson's 37-point third quarter in that 2015 game against the Kings seems like a nearly impossible record to top, as Klay knocked down all nine of his 3-point attempts in the frame and went 13-13 overall from the field.

These two Northern California rivals will see each other soon, as the Warriors will travel to Sacramento on Sunday seeking the team's first 3-0 start since the 73-win 2015-16 campaign.
