Klay Thompson to drop Rocco-themed signature shoe at Chase Center

Sneakerheads who miss out on the latest variant of Klay Thompson's signature shoe are in for a ruff Sunday morning.

The Warriors star announced Saturday night he'd release a Rocco-themed version of the Anta KT5 at the Warriors Shop at Chase Center on Sunday at 10 a.m.

It has been a big week for Rocco and Anta. Thompson's English bulldog starred in an ad for the Chinese shoe company with Thompson wearing shoes bearing the pup's likeness, and it closed with the tagline "Rocco Comes First."

Rocco is a fixture in Thompson's life, staying by the guard's side as he rehabbed a torn left ACL. That injury will keep Thompson out for the duration of the NBA season, but the 30-year-old got a lot of shots up before the Warriors' win over the Phoenix Suns on Saturday night.

Thompson was one of 44 finalists USA Basketball will consider taking to the Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Rocco will be there if the three-time champion is, and perhaps he'll bring the shoes to Japan.

Draymond Green laughs off NBA fining him for Devin Booker tampering

Sometimes you have to laugh off losing $50,000 ... right? Well, at least if you're Draymond Green.

That's exactly what the Warriors' star forward did Sunday on Twitter.

Green was fined $50,000 for violating the NBA's anti-tampering rules regarding comments he made about Phoenix Suns shooting guard Devin Booker on TNT's "Inside the NBA."

"It's great to see Book playing well and Phoenix playing well, but get my man out of Phoenix," Green told hosts Ernie Johnson, Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley on "Inside the NBA." "It's not good for him. It's not good for his career. Sorry, Chuck. But they gotta get Book out of Phoenix.

"I need my man somewhere he can play great basketball all the time and win because he's that type of player."

When Johnson asked if he was tampering, Green gave a one-word response.

"Maybe," Green said.

Clearly the NBA took Green's comments seriously. The same can't be said for how Green took his fine.

Draymond Green knew this might be coming. On Sunday, his bank account took a hit.

The NBA has fined Green $50,000 for violating the league's anti-tampering rules regarding comments on Phoenix Suns shooting guard Devin Booker.

Appearing on TNT's pregame show prior to the Orlando Magic-Philadelphia 76ers game Friday, the Warriors star forward essentially called for the Suns to trade Booker, who has been red-hot since the NBA season restarted.

When Johnson asked if he was tampering, Green offered a one-word response.

"Maybe," Green said.

Booker, 23, is in the firs yeart of a five-year, $158 million contract extension with the Suns. He made his first All-Star Game this year and is averaging 26.4 points per game this year. And since the Orlando bubble began, Booker has been unstoppable.

The Suns are a perfect 5-0 with Booker leading the way in Orlando. He's averaging 29.4 points and 6.4 assists per game as the young shooting guard continues to expand his games.

While Booker's game has grown, Green's wallet has shrunk thanks to his comments.
