Klay only behind Steph in speed to 3-point milestone

Klay Thompson made his triumphant return to the court on Sunday night, and proceeded to cement himself in NBA history behind his fellow Splash Brother as the fastest two players to reach this 3-point milestone.

Thompson hit his first live game 3-pointer in 941 days late in the second quarter of the Warriors' 96-82 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers at Chase Center on Sunday. Overall, Thompson finished with 17 points on 7-of-18 shooting in 20 minutes in his first game back.

Before he ended up connecting on his first 3-pointer, Klay skied in for a thunderous first dunk in the first half, igniting the crowd and his Warriors teammates on the bench.

It was a night no one inside Chase Center will ever forget, and one that hopefully is the start of a healthy and successful season for Thompson after over two years away from the game.

Unsurprisingly, it took him just one game to reach yet another 3-point milestone in his decorated Warriors career.
