Klay refutes Draymond's story about fake Miami club fight

On Wednesday, Draymond Green gave everyone a laugh when he told his favorite Klay Thompson story during an AMA with Bleacher Report.

"In a hotel in Miami, he ran into a wall and busted his eye open with stitches," Green writes. "He tried to lie to us and get his friend to lie and say he got into a fight at the club. When you're leaving the club in Miami, you're not always sober and he tried to tell us he got into a fight."

Of course, just about everyone on NBA Twitter loved this story because Thompson has as close to a 100 percent approval rating as you can get.

Unfortunately, it appears this story might not be accurate as Thompson refuted the story on Instagram.

"Whaaaaat is this ??" Thompson wrote on a post by WarriorsTalk with Green's story. "First off, I don't lie. Secondly I'd never lie about getting into a fight. That's ridiculous. Idk what Dray talking about fr."

Perhaps we will know the true story behind Klay's fake Miami club fight (if there is one) at some point.

As for the Warriors, they enter a critical offseason after being knocked out of the NBA play-in tournament by the Memphis Grizzlies. Thompson has missed two consecutive seasons with leg injuries, but he is expected to return at some point next season to help Green and Steph Curry get the Warriors back to the top of the NBA.

With Curry, Thompson and Green all entering the back end of their prime, now is the time for the Warriors to do whatever it takes to put a championship-caliber roster around them in order to maximize what is left of their title window.
